چکیده

Cytokinin oxidase/dehydrogenases (CKXs) play a key role in the irreversible degradation of phytohormone cytokinin that is necessary for various plant growth and development processes. However, thus far, detailed investigations CKX gene family model legume Medicago truncatula are limited. In this study, we identified 9 putative homologues with conserved FAD- cytokinin-binding domains M. genome. We analyzed their phylogenetic relationship, structure, domain, expression pattern, protein subcellular locations other properties. The tissue-specific profiles MtCKX genes different among members these MtCKXs also displayed patterns response to synthetic 6-benzylaminopurine (6-BA) indole-3-acetic acid (IAA), suggesting diverse roles development. To further understand biological function MtCKXs, characterized mutants each by taking advantage Tnt1 mutant population truncatula. Results indicated plants harboring insertions single showed no morphological changes aerial parts, functional redundancy shoot disruption Medtr4g126160, which predominantly expressed roots, leads an obvious reduced primary root length increased lateral number, indicating specific regulating architecture. systematically at genome-wide level revealed possible development, shed lights on understanding related plants.

Genome-Wide Identification and Expression Analysis of the 14-3-3 Family Genes in Medicago truncatula

The 14-3-3 gene family, which is conserved in eukaryotes, is involved in protein-protein interactions and mediates signal transduction. However, detailed investigations of the 14-3-3 gene family in Medicago truncatula are largely unknown. In this study, the identification and study of M. truncatula 14-3-3-family genes were performed based on the latest M. truncatula genome. In the M. truncatula...

Genome-wide identification and expression analysis of auxin response factor gene family in Medicago truncatula

Auxin response factors (ARFs) bind specifically to auxin response elements (AuxREs) in the promoters of down-stream target genes and play roles in plant responses to diverse environmental factors. Using the latest updated Medicago truncatula reference genome sequence, a comprehensive characterization and analysis of 24 MtARF (M. truncatula ARF) genes were performed. To uncover the basic informa...

Genome-wide characterization of GRAS family genes in Medicago truncatula reveals their evolutionary dynamics and functional diversification

The GRAS gene family is a large plant-specific family of transcription factors that are involved in diverse processes during plant development. Medicago truncatula is an ideal model plant for genetic research in legumes, and specifically for studying nodulation, which is crucial for nitrogen fixation. In this study, 59 MtGRAS genes were identified and classified into eight distinct subgroups ba...

Bioinformatics Analysis of MAPKKK Family Genes in Medicago truncatula.

Mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase kinase (MAPKKK) is a component of the MAPK cascade pathway that plays an important role in plant growth, development, and response to abiotic stress, the functions of which have been well characterized in several plant species, such as Arabidopsis, rice, and maize. In this study, we performed genome-wide and systemic bioinformatics analysis of MAPKKK fami...

Genome-wide identification of nodule-specific transcripts in the model legume Medicago truncatula.

The Medicago truncatula expressed sequence tag (EST) database (Gene Index) contains over 140,000 sequences from 30 cDNA libraries. This resource offers the possibility of identifying previously uncharacterized genes and assessing the frequency and tissue specificity of their expression in silico. Because M. truncatula forms symbiotic root nodules, unlike Arabidopsis, this is a particularly impo...
